A fine turnout this pleasant summer evening. All sorts on the trail tonight what with Jack on his bike and the two dogs who accompanied Jan, Ali, Vivien, Shirley, Lesley, Bill, Steve, Andy Mc, Gordon, Mark and John Mc. Runners used the 5km and 8km routes this day. The GB Relay teams are getting ready for the off next week.
Runners from the Edinburgh Half were back and on form, but the marathon runners were conspicuous by their absence. Never mind, we’re allowed time to recover after 26 miles of it! Well done to all who entered.
As it turned out, the weather was no rain but damp underfoot – perfect for Mark (back running after a period off with a niggling injury), Oli, Lesley, Bill, Andy Mc, Jack on bike, Gordon and his dog.
Lesley has fixed a curry night out starting from the Douglas Hotel at 7.30pm and then the Derbar. Thanks Lesley.
A lovely warm, bright evening for a run in the sun, heralded in by Fred, Young Lesley, Annabel, Helen, Chris, Dave, Lesley, Andy Mc, Gordon, Shirley, John Mc, Steve and Sasha. Great turnout – great run.
When Nick asked for a 10km route last week I never imagined it would escalate in popularity the way it has. Mind you, it’s a lovely scenic route that takes your mind off the long steep hill – somewhat.
I have included the link to the Mapmyrun route map on the website training page, but already a lot of you have tried it. Well done.
Good turnout tonight with John Mc, Irene, Lesley, David, Nick, Andy Mc, John and his dog.
Another lovely, bright and washed-clean evening in the forest. Today saw the birth of our 10km summer route with Bill leading the way with Jack, Steve & Sasha, John Mc and Oli tearing along somewhere behind us. You can view this route on Mapmyrun by clicking HERE.
Welcome to Fred who joined the group tonight, joined by Jan, Helen,Paul, Young Lesley, Dave, Lesley, Annabel and Andy Mc.
Andy, David, Steven, Gordon, Nick, Bill and Lesley all ran the 8km route tonight.
A lovely little run in the sun. Vivien Ellins joined Helen and Annabel on the 5km route, or a variation of it. Nick, Lesley, Paul, Steve and his dog, John Mc and David ran the other routes while Jack went around on his bike again and managed a 5 minute run on the field.
This first of our Saturday morning series could not have been better. After a chilly start the morning warmed up beautifully in bright sunshine and Jack, Bill, Lesley and Chris enjoyed a leisurely multi-terrain experience.
A lovely ray of sunshine lit the way for John M, Lesley, Bill and Nick, while Jack powered his bicycle over the Saturday route.
