The field of nine included Bill, Ali, Lesley Y, Lesley, John Mac, Paul, Chris, Helen and Annabel. Surprisingly cool ending to an otherwise warm enough day caught everyone wearing just short sleeve T’s, so the runners headed off without delay on mostly the 7 and 8km routes.
Lesley, Nick and John played host to a fantastic turnout of about 25 runners. JogScotland Hazelhead unit was well represented and a number of people from Banchory town joined us for the first time.
The night itself was warm, dry and surprising light. A thin cloud covering seemed to reflect the sunlight and improved visibility significantly. Scolty Hill was teeming with people active and enjoying themselves. Runners, walkers, revellers alike, were out in the open and clear night air and it never got dark what with sunrise following immediately the long sunset.
Nick enjoyed a wee dram of single malt and the midgies were not all that bad after all.
Oli, Chris and Nick turned up to run on this mild evening.
A glorious summer day with bright sunshine saw a good turnout. (15) Welcome to a new runner Lizzy MacFarlane joined by Oli, Paul, David C, Rick, Shirley, Maggie, Rob, Mark, Lesley Y, Annabel, Helen, Izzy, Lesley C and Gordon with Sky in tow.
A gentle run for a few regulars as Sandy, Bill, John Mc, Lesley Dave and Andy Mc took to the trails.
What a great turnout for a showery evening run. Maggie ran with us for the first time, joined by Helen, Ali, Lesley, David, Andy Mc, Rick, Julie, Bill, David C, Rob, Young Lesley and Shirley too.
Small group of brave runners in Dave, Lesley, Young Lesley, Jan and Chris went out in a shower, but it did brighten up for the homecoming.
GB Relay teams for tomorrow joined heads to dot the i’s and cross the t’s. Good luck to Shirley, Bill, Lizzy, Lily, Ali and Andy.
