First run back on the winter grounds was uneventful with most using the 8km route.Liz Wallace joined us for the first time with Mark, Paul, Irene, Jack, Lesley, Helen, Wendy and young Leslie too. From here on we run from the Banchory Academy Sports Centre until the clocks go forward in March.
It’s getting dark now at 6.30pm and the street lighting is on already. I dare say it’s time once again to move our meeting point back to the Academy and resume our winter running sessions.
This evening was mild(ish) and bright and the 8 who turned up to enjoy it were, Mark, Gordon, Emma, John, Bill, Helen, Lesley and for the first time, Scott Spence.
Good turnout with Emma, Mark, Wendy, Jack, both Lesleys, Bill, Gordon, Chris, Ali and Helen. Good run through the forest using the 7 & 8 km options.

Considering the nearness of Crathes Half, this was a brave run for some. Mark, Mark and Jack did a quick forest loop.
Fair conditions saw the 7 and 8 km routes being enjoyed by Sandy, Jack, Bill, Lesley & David, Helen, young Lesley, Wendy and Chris.
Mark, Jack, Bill, Lesley and Avi with dog and log, ran to the top of Scolty and back. This is such a pleasant route with interesting features and different inclines and before you know it – it’s over!
Eight of us ran the 8km route on this pleasant evening, as the afternoons are now becoming. Included were Dave & Lesley, Bill, Jack, Helen, Wendy, Mark and for the first time a LittleRunningBird, Sue Savege. Welcome to Banchory Running Club and wishing you many smiling miles in Deeside Sue.
Cool, but a fine enough evening for a run. We all did an 8km circuit with Mark M, Avi, Chris, Jack, John, Bill and Lesley.
Pleasant evening run on cool and damp ground with Dave and Lesley, Mark M and then Wendy, Helen and our young Lesley taking off on the 10km route in preparation for the Crathes Half in a fortnight.
