A big welcome to Fiona who joined us for a run tonight. Joined by Sandy, Paul, Dave & Lesley, Jack, Wendy, young Leslie and John Mac. Calm evening with temperature barely above freezing. Pavements well gritted and as it happens, no trace of slip. Our Torch Run was put off for fear of an icy Deeside Way. Perhaps next week will present a chance to do the popular Crathes loop again.
A pleasant and uneventful run for Bill, Mark and Jack.
Inclement with a capital “I” kept most people away. Well done to John Mason and two of his Tuesday FitClass for confronting the elements and running on this cold, wet and windy night. Also in this die-hard category were Lesley, Wendy and Bill.
Small group took a gentle 8k around the village. Well done Mark, Liz, Bill and Andy. Nursing an injured leg muscle, the writer took to his bike for the first time this winter then used all the hot water in a glorious shower.
A cool start, but not too cold for Millie who joined us for the first time wearing summer kit already. Also-rans were Lesley, Mark, Sandy, Gillian, Wendy and Paula. Lesley is putting in the miles in preparation for the D33 Ultramarathon and I’m sure she will do very well.
Bill and Jack ran a quick 8.
Get ready for the Saturday morning run through Brathens Wood.
Great turnout with Helen, Mark, Gill, Wendy, Young Lesley, Paul, Bill, Jack, Dave & Lesley, Ali and Maggie.Great weather for the 8k.
Jack, Bill, Lesley, John Mac, Mark and John ran a fartlek up the Hill of Banchory. I’m not sure how much “speed” and how much “play” was involved, but we all ran as hard as we could from Tesco to Raemoir Road, then took it easy for the balance of the 8k route. Good fun.
