Please come along to any of our sessions this week. Tonight we will meet at the sports centre for some intervals, or just go for a run if you prefer. Thursday will be a head torch run from the guide hut.
The last race in the Metro Winter Prom Series is this Friday at 1pm, £2 entry all going to charity. ... See MoreSee Less
The AGM went ahead as planned on Tuesday evening, I have an update for you.
I will stay on as Chair and will also act as coach, Sandy continue as Treasurer and Bill will take over the role of Secretary. Fiona will be looking after the kit and is also our social secretary. Alex stood down from the role of Secretary, thank you for everything you have done over the last few months.
Club fees and training times will remain the same. Soon we will be moving back the guide hut as our meeting place for the summer. Tuesdays will be speed work, hill reps and such like. I am in the process of making up a training calendar so everyone can see the sessions. Please bear with me. There is always the option just to run if this is what you prefer. Thursdays will be the same as we have been doing with the exception that one Thursday a month we will run somewhere different. So if you have a route that you would like us to run sometime then let me know. There will be no weekend runs, but if you would like company then feel free to ask the club and see if anyone is free. We can set up a WhatsApp group if you like.
The website will be updated in due course, there already has been a slight change in that you can see the facebook feed on there.
Club fees are due in April, a reminder will be sent out nearer the time.
We have a limited supply of club kit, at the moment there is no demand but we will be looking into buying new kit sometime soon.
Bill and I will not be running a beginners group this year, but if you would like to and are committed please get in touch and you can do the JogScotland leader course. It’s a one day course and it’s great.
Deeside Parkrun will be going ahead later this year. Watch this space.
Banchory Running Club is for runners of all abilities. Don’t worry about pace, you will not run alone. If you are new or haven’t been in a while please come along sometime and try us out.
Lastly I think I speak for everyone when I say thank you to Jack. Sadly he moved away 6 months ago and without him BRC would not exist. All the best Jack.
Thank you all for supporting Banchory Running Club. 😀🏃♀️🏃♂️ ... See MoreSee Less
