Banchory Running Club is for runners of all abilities, from beginner to experienced athletes. We are a friendly bunch of like-minded people who look out for one another. New members are looked after, and nobody is left on their own.
Training sessions are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting at 6.30. During the summer months (April to the end of September) we meet at the Guide Hut. We occasionally meet at other locations, notification of this will be given in advance on our Facebook page. Winter we meet at Banchory Sports Village on a Tuesday and the Guide Hut on a Thursday (head torches required.) The last Tuesday of the month we meet at Scott Skinners Bar all year round.
We have many routes that we use but the main ones in forest at Scolty are these – 5km, 7km, 8km or 10km. We also have similar distanced routes around the village for the dark evenings. Tuesdays vary from week to week and include hill reps and speed sessions. We do have the odd social runs at weekends, which tend to be longer with a coffee and chat afterwards.
