At Oshkosh Corporation, volunteering means more than lending a helping hand. From the people in our communities to the people we work with every day, we work to impact lives by offering our time and talent to those who need it most. It’s our aim to not only enrich the lives of the people we help, but the lives of our team members as well.

It feels good to give back

We take pride in volunteering throughout the many communities where we live and work. From getting involved as a company in Junior Achievement and our Good to Give Back Month, to individual team members utilizing their skills and capabilities to help others, we enjoy giving back.

In 2017, Jerr-Dan and JLG team members launched a week-long volunteer effort during Oshkosh Corporation’s 100-year anniversary celebration. The success and spirit of the initiative inspired Oshkosh team members worldwide to participate, and the effort grew into Good to Give Back Month. Today, team members volunteer their time and talent around the world, including activities such as renovating a kindergarten in Leon, Mexico, helping at food pantries, assisting with yard work, park and beach cleanup, Humane Society adoptions, youth mentoring and much more.

Building stronger communities

We do great work every day in our communities, and we are proud of the numerous volunteering initiatives our team members are involved in each year and the impact it makes across the globe.

Team members in Northeast Wisconsin took an additional opportunity to make a difference. Oshkosh team members along with the collaboration of businesses, nonprofits and community volunteers, actively serve on the Poverty Outcome Improvement Network Team, supported by the Basic Needs Giving Partnership. Using continuous improvement strategies and processes to enhance existing poverty reduction efforts, this team works to help solve problems and close gaps surrounding poverty in our communities. To some, it’s about helping others strengthen the community where they live and work. When we work together, we can transform tomorrow.
